About the Program

The Campus Loan Program (CLP) entrusts departmental and administrative offices and related areas of campus with the care, responsibility and safekeeping of art objects available to them from a portion of the University collections administered by the USC Fisher Museum of Art. In return, the Borrower has the pleasure of experiencing, on a day to day basis, an object of his/her own selection, which has intrinsic value and often-substantial monetary value as well. At present there are over 300 works of art residing in over 30 offices and other secure areas of campus.

Participation in the Campus Loan Program is open to campus offices and is based on a favorable site visit by USC Fisher Museum of Art staff. Borrowers are allowed to select objects from a pool of framed and unframed works (paintings, prints and photographs) with the helpful advice of museum staff. All loans are subject to the approval of the Museum Director. The program does require borrowers to pay a one-time installation fee as well as a yearly fee for insurance.
