It’s #FlashBackFriday, and we want to dedicate this one to Mark Bradford, whom we exhibited here at the Fisher Museum as part of our Mixed Feelings exhibition in 2002.
Flash-forward today, we are thrilled to hear that Mark Bradford has been chosen as the United States’ representative to the 57th Venice Biennale, opening in May 2017. The United States pavilion, featuring Bradford’s work, will be organized by Christopher Bedford, director of the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University, which was chosen by the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to be the commissioning institution for the exhibition.
Congratulations, Mr. Bradford!
