#flashbackfriday — Congratulations to artist Sergio Hernández for his wonderful new exhibition “De Sangre Y De Plomo” on view in Bogotá, Colombia! He was first exhibited in the United States as part of Fisher Museum’s “17 Contemporary Mexican Artists” show in 1989. The objective of “17 Contemporary Mexican Artists” was to highlight the diversity of Mexican visual expression, while presenting young artists living and working in Mexico.

Hernández is from Oaxaca, Mexico. He is inspired by the region’s rural beauty and light, and is distinguished as one of the most original and innovative artists of Mexico. Wishing him continued success!
